Windows Server 2019

Ntegral Windows Server 2019 is a pre-configured Azure VM image designed for fast, secure deployment of enterprise Windows workloads.

Instead of manually installing and configuring Windows Server, you can launch a ready-to-use virtual machine directly from Azure Marketplace. This reduces setup time from hours to minutes while ensuring a consistent, production-ready environment.

The image is optimized for Azure infrastructure and supports common enterprise use cases including migration, Active Directory, remote desktop services, and legacy application hosting.

By standardizing your Windows Server deployments, you reduce configuration drift, improve reliability, and accelerate time to production.

Built for Faster Deployment

Ntegral certified images are designed to eliminate manual setup and reduce time to production. Deploy fully configured environments in minutes instead of hours.
Production-Ready by Default

Each image is prepared for real-world workloads, helping teams avoid common configuration issues and inconsistencies.
Consistency Across Environments

Standardized images ensure that development, testing, and production environments behave the same—reducing risk and improving reliability.
Optimized for Cloud Infrastructure

Ntegral images are tailored for Azure environments, ensuring compatibility, performance, and ease of deployment.
Reduced Operational Complexity

By minimizing setup and maintenance effort, teams can focus on higher-value work instead of infrastructure configuration.

What is included in the Ntegral Windows Server 2019 image?

The image is a pre-configured Azure VM running Windows Server 2019 Datacenter edition. It comes with Azure Guest Agent pre-installed, Windows updates applied at time of build, and a consistent baseline configuration — so you're not starting from scratch. There's no additional software bundled beyond what's needed for a clean, production-ready Windows Server environment.

How long does deployment take?

Most deployments complete in under 5 minutes through Azure Marketplace. After selecting your VM size and region, Azure provisions the VM and boots it from the Ntegral image — no manual OS installation or post-install patching needed. Your environment is ready to configure and connect to immediately.

Do I need a separate Windows Server license?

The image is available as a pay-as-you-go offering through Azure Marketplace, which includes the Windows Server license cost in the VM pricing. If you have existing Windows Server licenses through a Microsoft Volume Licensing agreement, you may also be eligible to use Azure Hybrid Benefit to reduce costs. Check your Azure subscription settings or contact your Microsoft representative to confirm eligibility.

What Azure VM sizes are supported?

The image is compatible with most general-purpose and compute-optimized Azure VM series, including B-series (burstable), D-series, and E-series. The right VM size depends on your workload — for Active Directory or light workloads, a B2s or D2s_v3 is typically sufficient; for heavier application hosting, consider D4s_v3 or larger. You select the VM size at deploy time in the Azure portal.

What are the most common use cases for this image?

Teams typically use this image for:

- Active Directory Domain controller and AD DS deployments

- Remote Desktop RDS / Remote Desktop Services for user sessions

- Legacy apps Hosting applications that require a Windows Server environment

- Migration Lift-and-shift of on-premises Windows Server workloads to Azure

- Dev/test Consistent, disposable Windows Server environments for testing

How do I connect the VM after deployment?

You can connect via RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) using the public IP address assigned to your VM. In the Azure portal, navigate to your VM → Connect → RDP, then download the .rdp file and open it with Remote Desktop Connection. For more secure access without exposing a public IP, Azure Bastion is the recommended approach.

Is the image kept up-to-date with security patches?

The base image is updated periodically with the latest Windows security patches at build time. Once your VM is deployed, ongoing patching is your responsibility. Microsoft recommends enabling Azure Update Manager or Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) to automate patch management for running VMs. Windows Server 2019 is supported by Microsoft through January 2029.

What support is available if I run into issues?

For issues related to the VM image or deployment, you can contact Ntegral directly. For Azure infrastructure issues (networking, billing, VM availability), support is handled through your Azure support plan. If you need help with architecture, migration, or custom deployments, Ntegral's services team is available for consulting engagements.
